Artist Statement
I find all body types praiseworthy so I wanted to make a piece admiring the different body types. Capturing these photographs in an abstract style choice, make the variety of body types indistinguishable. I have altered the way we view photographs of the models. Instead criticizing and examining the model’s bodies, there is a different purpose. “what is that?” instead of judging their bodies in a degrading demeanor against yourselves or the people in the photos. It’s a distraction from focusing on our “insecurities” and playing with a puzzle trying to figure out what we are looking at.
